The Glen Arbor Cottage is roomy and relaxing, literally two minutes down the lane to the beach. It has three bedrooms (K, Q and Two T's), two baths and a bonus room which can be used as a fourth bedroom complete with daybed and trundle to sleep two more. Cottage is fully furnished with everything you need-sandy beach or village enjoyments a minute's walk away (no gas needed!), cable TV, microwave, charcoal grill, coffee maker, all dishes and cooking items, dryer, books, games, videos and DVDs- however, you bring your own sheets and towels. Sorry, no smoking.
What's up in Glen Arbor? The Sleeping Bears National Lake Shore Park! The park has the iconic "Dune Climb" and many hiking trails, the breath-taking Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive, the Maritime Museum, and the Manitou islands to explore, The last includes the 1871 South Manitou Lighthouse. After the park have a burger and beer at Art's Tavern or listen to music on the Boone Dock deck whilst you dine. Kayak the beautiful Crystal River. Take in the many art galleries you can walk to. Play mini-golf, or take a horse-carriage ride and then enjoy the nightly campfire sings at the cool new "The River" course. The newer community playground, tennis courts and basketball court get you a workout after your afternoon ice cream cone. Rent boats on the spectacular Glen Lakes. Fish your heart out at the many lakes, including Lake Michigan. GOLF, GOLF, GOLF- scores of great courses are in the immediate area. Tour the Wineries!
And that's just the start. Explore Traverse City or cozy villages like Frankfort, Beulah, or Leland's historic Fish Town- the great restaurants and shops are myriad. Take in the double feature at the Cherry Bowl Drive-In, or concerts at the Interlochen Center for the Arts or the Manitou Music Festival. Casinos. Much, much more is within striking distance.
