Good Harbor Vineyards - Located three miles south of Leland on M-22 behind Manitou Farm Market and Bakery. 2191 S. Manitou Trail, Leland. May through October, tours and tasting are offered daily from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.  Monday through Saturday and from noon - 5 p.m. Winter hours, November through December 16, Saturday only, noon - 5 p.m. Closed January through April. L. Mawby Vineyards/Winery - On Elm Valley Rd. south of Suttons Bay (take M-22 to Hilltop Rd. to S. Elm Valley Rd.). Summer hours 1-6 p.m. Thursday through Sunday or by appointment. Raftshol Vineyards - Located 2 1/2 miles north of Suttons Bay on M-22. Open daily from noon-5 p.m. 1865 N.W. Bayshore Drive, Suttons Bay; (231) 271-5650.

Shady Lane Cellars - Located on the Leelanau Peninsula between Traverse City and Suttons Bay. Daily 11 a.m.-6 p.m., May 1 through Oct. 31. Winter hours: Friday and Saturday 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Sunday noon-5 p.m. 9580 Shady Lane, Suttons Bay; (231) 947-8865.

The Winery at Black Star Farm - On Revold Rd. 12 miles north of Traverse City (take M-22 to Revold; winery is first driveway on left). Tasting hours are 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon - 5 p.m. Sunday. 10844 E. Revold Rd., Suttons Bay, 49682; (231) 271-4884.

LEELANAU COUNTY GOLF:

Dunes Golf Club: The Dunes provides a tough test for the average golfer. The 18-hole course is carved out of the Leelanau County countryside. The toughest hole is the sixth, a 469-yard par-4. Located 17 miles west of Traverse City on M-72. 326-5390.

King's Challenge: Home to the Leelanau Country Club, King's Challenge Golf Courses are located 18 miles northwest of Traverse City. The Arnold Palmer Course features outstanding views of the Leelanau Peninsula. The 6,695-yard course has a par of 70 for men and 72 for women. The North Course, now known as Sleeping Bear Golf Club, is one of the area's longest courses at 6,800
yards from the championship tees. The front nine has tree-lined fairways and many elevations, the back nine is rolling, with more woods. 228-7400 or 1-888-228-0121.

Leelanau Club at Bahle Farms: This 18-hole championship course opened for play last summer amid kudos from players of all abilities and ages. It features natural terrain and outstanding views of the Leelanau Peninsula. The yardage is 6,770 from the back tees. Located on Otto Road, 3 miles south
of Suttons Bay. 271-2020.

Leland Country Club: A private golf club with 18 holes that overlooks Lake Leelanau. Located in Leland.

Northport Point: A nine-hole private course near Northport.

Veronica Valley: Veronica Valley is a scenic course that plays to a par 35 and 3,203 yards. Located on County Road 641, 5 miles south of Lake Leelanau. 256-9449.
